CAD Capabilities

Electroimpact's CAD capabilities include CATIA on the 3DExperience (200 seats), CATIA V5 (150 seats), SolidWorks (165 seats), and SolidWorks Electrical (36 seats). We have an especially long history and extensive experience with both CATIA V5 and SolidWorks, and are now transitioning to 3DExperience. We also have integrated ANSYS and COSMOS FEA packages for static and dynamic analysis. We also use DELMIA (V5 and 3DX) for factory simulation, production line analysis, and Offline Programming development for our automation equipment.

CAM

We have the capabilities to import and program from almost any 2D and 3D format including .dwg, .dxf, .sldprt, .SAT, .x_t, .STEP, CATIA and UG files. We use Mastercam exclusively.

Version Control and Configuration Management

All our large projects require concurrent design methods, and these are enabled through our CAD integrated PLM system. This system also enforces strict versioning control and enables product configuration management and accurate bill of materials for even our most complex products and systems. Electroimpact's document control systems are paperless, simplifying rapid design changes and reducing delivery time for such changes. The PLM system provides workflows to insure proper and efficient change management and provides a structure for capturing design decisions, test results and any other data related to the project.

CNC Machining Capabilities

To achieve the repeatability, accuracy, and efficiency needed to compete in the aerospace tooling industry, Electroimpact has CNC milling and turning capacities. Our CNC milling envelope is 50' x 20' x 59" with full 360 degree head. Full 5 axis machining with an envelope of 167" x 114" x 56". Turning capabilities that include 2-7/8" diameter through the spindle with live tooling and sub spindle. Jobs are tracked via the network supported IMPACT database. Engineering workstations are connected to the Mastercam programming stations. The Mastercam stations are in turn connected through network lines to the CNC machines.

High Bay Assembly Facilities

Electroimpact custom built a 36,000 square foot building close to its current headquarters in 1997. At 52 ft. high, the High Bay Assembly Facility (HBAF) has two 60 ft. x 300 ft. machine assembly areas, each with a 5 foot thick slab section for final machine approval testing. The building has four 25 ton cranes, each with a hook height of 37 feet. On one side of the building there is a three story office and conference center.

In 2008 due to continued growth we added another custom built highbay Building A that included 37,500 sq. ft. of engineering office space as well as 15,000 sq. ft. of highbay assembly buy off space. The highbay space has 2-32 metric ton cranes with 41 ft. hook height.

With the ever increasing number of projects more space was needed and construction was started in April 2012 on a new highbay, Building B. The new building adds another 36,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and buyoff space. Bulding B is equipped with two 40 metric ton cranes that span the entire width of the building. In 2014 we added Building F with 29,700 sq. ft. of assembly area. By the end of 2016 Building H will be complete adding an additional 16,974 sq. ft. of assembly space and 24,526 sq. ft. of office space.
